I think it's more that it doesn't like me calling the doselect class sub selectSettings from inside the other function to be honest but I do not understand why when I am doing exactly the same about 10 lines below. :(

Is there any reason this should be causing problems when I open a standard dataset below using doGlobal.myDataSet?
Have i overlooked something really simple ?

Check the object "doSelect" has some value. whether the object is created with new.
