Browse All TopicsI am using Visual Studio 2008 .net framework 3.5 for doing my web development project. The problem I am facing is that I am unable to automatically create a membership database . I put a login control and then configured the website using website configuration tool. I ran the security wizard completely including putting users and assigning roles. But when I completed the configuration I couldn't find any data in App_data folder. I can create sql express databases manually successfully. I don't want to use the aspnet_regsql tool to create database manually.

So you are saying that no aspnet_db.mdf has been created? If you run your website does it throw exceptions or does your membership provider work?
