asp.net gridview hyperlink encryption

How can I encrypt the  DataNavigateUrlFields of a hyperlink field in an ASP.net gridview.
Currently the user is able to see "NewPage.aspx?ID=1234" when they mouse over the hyperlink, but I want to be able encrypt the '1234' value so its not exposed

Whats the best way to go about this?
