The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. ASP.NET Selecting From An XML File and Linking To A Display More Details Page

Hi Guys,
I need some help with ASP.NET and XML, I have ASP.NET page called dev_news.aspx which is a simple repeater that returns back all the news items from the xml file dev_news.xml:

1.On each story there is a more link which when the user clicks I want it to bring them to the dev_news_story.aspx page and display the details of that news item on that page. Ive been looking at reading Query strings in .NET but I cannot figure it out, I guess the page needs to read the XML file for NewsItem= <link>3</link> and display back the contents, can I reuse my code from dev_news.aspx to do this?

2.On dev_news.aspx I only want to return back the news stories that have a date of 2009, the date formatt is dd/mm/yyyy
