Browse All TopicsHi There,
I currently have an AJAX enabled ASP.NET (C#) solution and im struggling to find the best way to maintain the state of my editable datagrid.
The selectedIndexChanged event adds the currently selected item into the datagrid and the datagrid resides with an AJAX UpdatePanel.
|____Drop down___|
--------------------------
|x|_Property_|_Value_Text_
|x|_Property_|_Value_Text_
|x|_Property_|_Value_Text_
|x|_Property_|_Value_Text_
--------------------------
In the above grid, there are 5 properties... the user can click delete in the first column, view the name of the property in the 2nd column and the 3rd column is editable as a textfield...
The problem im having is that when the selectedIndex is changed, the grid adds a new row, but the values don't persist...[dispite adding the whole grid to the ViewState].
What is the best way to maintain these values on postback?

used the findcontrol to get the textbox and stored them in a viewstate... it works, but its probably not most efficient
