Dropdown lists

Hi,

I 've a scenario i.e @ dropdownlists are there.
Based on the first dropdown second drop down is getting populated.
On click of button i am displaying the result based on both the dropdown list selected values.

again if he selets the first dropdown result datagrid  should ne invisible and second dropdown shuld ne populated.

My problem here is if User selects the same value from the dropdown, which he selected earler then postback is not happening and my result grid is visible. but it shouldn't be visible.

Plz advise.

first dropdown has FacultyNames second one has Batches.

User selects the faculty name 2nd dropdown should be populated with the related batch names.
Selects the  batch and  on click of submit i am displaying the feedback on the datagrid  of the faculty which is provided by that particular batch.

faculty changes that feedback datagrid should be disappear.

selected indexed change i 've taken care.

But if User selects the same faculty , Feedback datagrid is not disappearing.
Making disappearing wat do i need to do.

you can use javascript for the onclick event and then document.getElemetById('datagrid').style.display='none';

but again u will have to be specific when to display and when to hide.

use general rule,, when u click the button bind the grid and show result..at the same time make first dropdown's selected item something else (i.e --select--) ...

also put two labels along with grid to show its result of which two selection..

put two labels and grid into panel so u can hide 'em altogather
