Browse All TopicsOne of my columns in my Gridview is Titled 'email'
I want to force the width to be 100px, and not a single pixel more.
However, some of the emails are too long to fit in a 100px line...for example consider this: blahblahblahMyBigLongEmail
I want to force this to "wrap" around inside the column.
I am using this code:
<asp:BoundField DataField="Email" HeaderText="Email" SortExpression="Email" ItemStyle-Width="100px" ItemStyle-Wrap="true"/>
But it is not working. It only wraps emails where there is a dash, or some other convenient character to split it to a new line. What is happening is that the longest email is "pushing" the column width beyond 100px in order to fit the longest email on a single line. I want to force the width....period...and regardless of how long an email address might be, under no circumstances can it "push" the column width beyond 100 pixels
How can I do this?
