Try to test with another machine browser ?
Which firefox and IE version are you using ?

by: ICOTechPosted on 2009-07-29 at 07:59:56ID: 24970853

You can also test with this URL :  http://www.netavoir.net/mamise/test3.aspx and
http://www.netavoir.net/mamise/test4.aspx

I have test with : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.9.0.12) Gecko/2009070611 Firefox/3.0.12
I test also with : IE 6, IE 7 I have the same result.

If I test directly on the web server it's Ok but if I test on external network I have this problem.

You have an idea ?

by: prairiedogPosted on 2009-07-29 at 08:36:52ID: 24971289

It works fine with IE 8 and FireFox 3.5.

by: ICOTechPosted on 2009-07-29 at 08:46:04ID: 24971397

Ok Thanks for your test prairiedog it's good but I need it works fine also with IE7 and firefox 3.0

When I scroll down and the timer tick to refresh panel the page go to the top.

You have a solution ?

P.S : Sorry for my english

by: prairiedogPosted on 2009-07-29 at 08:53:06ID: 24971486

It's hard for me to test it because I don't have IE 7 and FireFox 3.0, but I can make some suggestions on modifying the UpdatePanle control:

1. RenderMode = "block"
2. EnableViewState="True"

by: ICOTechPosted on 2009-07-29 at 10:12:47ID: 24972313

I have test with IE 8 and I have the same problem when I scroll down I go to the top of the page when the seconds change.

I will try to set rendermode= "block" and viewstate="True".

by: prairiedogPosted on 2009-07-29 at 11:54:25ID: 24973329

Just saw this in your code: MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback="true". Try removing it because I don't think AJAX likes that.

by: ICOTechPosted on 2009-07-29 at 12:23:25ID: 24973621

This page : http://www.netavoir.net/mamise/test3.aspx not have this property MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback="true"  but I have the same problem

by: prairiedogPosted on 2009-07-29 at 12:25:19ID: 24973644

Hmmm...don't know why. Have you tried the other suggestion yet?

by: ICOTechPosted on 2009-07-29 at 12:39:56ID: 24973794

Yes but I don't have access to my web server right now I give you new when it's uploaded.

by: ICOTechPosted on 2009-07-30 at 10:11:01ID: 24982023

Ok I have test that but I have the same problem the scroll bar glitch when I scroll down fast.

I have set :
1. RenderMode = "block"
2. EnableViewState="True"

You got me. It works for me (IE 8 and FireFox 3.5).

It seems that you get a full postback for each timer tick. Is this a new project or an upgraded project?

Some other things you can try:
1. Make sure your AJAX library is up to date.
2. Start a new AJAX enabled web application project to see if you have the same problem.

You realy have no glitch when you scroll fast ?

I will try to start a new project and I will verify if my library is up to date.
