Hi,
There is a 'hidden' special character on the word below.
It's right after the 'dot', you will know if you right step (using right arrow in keyboard), the cursor will stuck right after the 'dot', only after 2 'steps' it's able to move to the right.

It is causing my mysql insertion to fail. Tried on html.encode and trim, but to no avail.
Any idea?

There could be two ways of cleaning out the string from those special characters,
1. Assuming that your string isn't that large, you can loop through all the characters, use their ascii code to determine if they are within acceptable range and if not, then exclude that character out of the string.
2. You can use regular expressions to filter out the special characters.

if you want to store this kind of data then choose proper data type in mySQL that allows unicode characters set.
or if you want to remove anything that comes after . (dot) then just trim the ending part of string ..
like ..

t=t.Substring(0,t.LastInde
