value of type string cannot be converted to system.web.ui.webcontrol.literal
I want to use a literal to display text for information from a database. The thing is, I used a function to pull the information and I also want to the user to be able to change the information if need be. How do you set it up so that a literal can display the text and/or change it if need be? The literal I have is getting the value from a string and it is saying that the literal cannot be converted to a string. What do I do?

It sounds like you're doing something like:
Literal1 = "some text"
instead of:
Literal1.Text = "some text"
And you want the user to be able to change the text? If yes, you should use a textbox and hide the border of the textbox...
