i call the database, bring back 50 rows. I display the first row and user can click a button to skip to the next record..
how can I do this? bring back everything and store in stack?? if so, how??

How much data is there? How Complex is the row rendering?
A nice way to do this would be to load the items into the page and store in a Javascript array, you could then use "AJAX" style refresh to navigate back and forwards through the data. The end user expereice would be better than many postbacks.
