beginner custom class question

This is the first time I've had to use a class in ASP.NET, and I need some help.

I want to be able to check a string being passed to the UpdateFormData function and pass it back to the aspx page.

What am I doing wrong in the class, and how do I call the function from my asp.net page.

You need to specify a return type for UpdateFormData. It doesn't return anything, so the return type is void. The correct declaration is as follows.

ok, how do I call it from my aspx page? It doesn't seem to reconize the class exists.

First: change your function prototype to (void is missing in your code):

public static void UpdateFormData(String fName)

Here is a sample code:

DynamicOutputClass.UpdateFormData("form1");
