Question

How to assign a button click event to a button inside a DataList itemtemplate?

Hi Experts,

I have a asp:button inside a datalist, I gave this button an OnClick event handler but when I click it, I'm getting the error message:
"Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to..."

Probably because the button's inside a DataList? How can I correct this?

Hi JaimeJegonia,
Not sure about your entire HTML code, but you may try to turn-off the page directive's setting - "enableEventValidation".

It's a dependent component I've been editing. I set its parent page's EnableEventValidation to false and it worked. Thanks a lot!
