It's a dependent component I've been editing. I set its parent page's EnableEventValidation to false and it worked. Thanks a lot!

I have a asp:button inside a datalist, I gave this button an OnClick event handler but when I click it, I'm getting the error message:

Probably because the button's inside a DataList? How can I correct this?

Not sure about your entire HTML code, but you may try to turn-off the page directive's setting - "enableEventValidation".
