Calling a Webservice created in a custom control from embeded ajax jquery call.

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this issue.
I have a custom web control.  Inside that i have a webservice to perform my database update.

Also within that web control, I have a jquery method that uses the .ajax call.
Now normally, without having this in a custom control, the jquery call would just say .ajax .url="default.aspx/servicename"

but since the webservice isn't actually in the default code behind, how would I trigger this service?

Thanks in advance
