Using Masterpage : adding a control to a content page

I am rewriting my site and moving from having pages in an iframe on a default page to using master pages.

On one form I programmatically add some buttons. this.form1.controls.add(mybutton)

Now there is no <form> here on this content page how do I do the same?

The form tag is on the masterpage, obviously.

The standard thing is to put a placeholder control, a panel control, or something on the content page and then add the dynamic controls to the container.  like panel1.Controls.Add(mybutton).  The advantage of this is that you can more precisely control the placement of the buttons.
