Slideshow control  from ajax control kit

I am using the Slideshow control from ajax control kit on  a site and have the following questions:

1.The slideshow by design can scroll continuously on its own. That works with the image array hardcoded, but not with the image array loaded dynamically from a function that loads images from a folder. How can that be fixed?

2.The slideshow needs an image control  to display before its start. Is there an image of a MS spinner for that?
