error checking array bounds

Hello experts,
How can I check if if my array is empty so user doesn't trigger an error?
I need to check whether either array value is empty/out-of-bounds and return an error response.

Ant help would be greatly appreciated.

Dim strText As String
        Dim strChart As String
        Dim myArray As Array = Split(TextBox1.Text, "|")
        Dim id1 As String = String.Empty
        Dim id2 As String = String.Empty
        id1 = myArray(0)
        id2 = myArray(1)
        strText = id1.ToString
        strChart = id2.ToString

Please see the code snippet. You can use the array's Length property to determinate how many items it contains. Thanks

THanks, I tried .length as you replied, but I still got an "Index was outside the bounds..." error
So I moved the snippet up the code before declaring the array members and it works.
