Shutdown the application

Hello
I have developed an desktop application using .NET
Once the application is installed it sits in the task bar. The application is a chat tool, which communicates thru the use of web services.

What i need to happen is, when the user shutdowns his/her system my application must exit and allow the shutdown process to go through successfully. But what is happening at this moment of time is the user once installed my application cannot shutdown his/her system unless and until they right click the icon of my application in the task bar and press the exit button.

I am looking for a solution for the above problem. can you help ?
