C#, Windows Application dynamically adding a control to a form

I am using the following code to add a control to a Windows Application Form.
Control containerControl = new Control();

Control _control = new Control();
_control = ThreeWInset;

containerControl = this.Controls["panel1"];
containerControl.Controls.Add(_control);
string myControlName = "W" +( i + 1).ToString();

_control.Controls[myControlName].Text = strCard;
_control.Controls[myControlName].BackColor = Color.Red;
The problem is that the control is not always going to be ThreeWInset - it could be one of many various controls I may need to display. How can I dynamically load the control using a variable that I populate with information obtained from my SQL database?

Please be specific, this is the first time I have done anything like this.
