Note Session works.
And another application works with viewstate too. (same sqlmetal configuration)

I want to store a linq Object in the Viewstate.
It works for the Session, but for the Viewstate i get:
"Object is not marked as serializable."
Context is generated by SQLMetal (with serializable: bidirektional)
In another application i can store a similar one in viewstate

The key word is similar, all objects stored in view state must be serializable, including objects they contain inside them. You need to mark all classes in the Linq query and all classes they are using as Serializable.
