How do I update my LInq to SQL classes dbml?

I have put a new field on my database table and I want to update the LINQ to SQL classes dbml.
However when I delete the table in the diagram and replace it from Server Explorer, I get the following error;
The type or namespace name 'Settings' could not be found in the global namespace (are you missing an assembly reference?).

What should I be doing to stop this from happening?
