If you mean you want to add a parameter which would filter the dataSet's datatable, it could be done like...
Dim strSelection As String
Dim selectedRows() As DataRow
Dim iIndex As Integer
dtDataTable = DataSet1.Table
strSelection = "Parameter1 = 'Something' " & _
or "Parameter2 = 'SomethingElse'"
selectedRows = dtDataTable.Select(strSele
But, I doubt that's what you are asking for... what are you trying to accomplish by adding a parameter to the SqlDataAdapter ?

How I do it in C#
mmand.Para meters[ "@CustomerID" ].Value = m_CustomerID;
and.Parame ters( "@strHQ" ).Value = strHQ
this.m_daCustomer.SelectCo
So assume yours would be similar to
SqlDataAdapter1.SelectComm
