I use a dataset that has 3 tables
project
Person
junctionprjper (2 fields projectID, personID)
with a one to many relation from project to junctionprper and
a one to many relation from employee to junctionprper
the starting point is the project.
My question is: what is the best practise to add a new person (one that doesn't already exist) to a project.
What I do now is: when a user presses the add new person button on the form
I create a new record using the currencymanager of the person dataview
private sub button_click
cmPerson.AddNew()
and immediatly create a new row in the junction table
Dim newjunc As DataRowView = DVprjper.AddNew()
newjunc("projectID") = txtProjectID.Text
newjunc("personID") = txtpersoonID.Text
newjunc.EndEdit()
end sub
Is this the way to do it or is there a much better or logical way ?
thx,
RB
