How to get multiple columns from a ListView in another app?

Hi, after a long question, finally got a great answer to my question

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/22873877/Read-items-in-a-SysLstView32-in-another-app.html

mostly by a link to the question

 https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21665455/win32-api-ListView-contents.html

now I'm getting greedy, and would like to get multiple columns (are these "subitems"?) out of the ListView in the other app.  From the link (second one), it appears that the author wants this too, and wrote some code that he says solves it.  However I try it and it doesn't work.  Can anyone tell how that code can be adapted for second and third columns from the list?
