Code in body of button click (there is a lot before it, so this is just the section in question.)
//fields are different
if (dbemail != txtEmail.Text.ToString())
{
string script = "";
Page.RegisterStartupScript("ClientScript", script);
}
//field is the same, so call update to update all other information without worring if this is overwritten.
else
{
Update database.
}
On the design view, I have this javascript function.

Now, in the page load I try to access the hidden field value, but it is ALWAYS 0 no matter if I click OK or Cancel.
if(IsPostBack)
{
if (HiddenField.Value == "1")
{
updateFirmInfo();
updateAgentInfo();
HiddenField.Value = "0";
}
else
{
//need script to alert user that no data was updated.
HiddenField.Value = "0";
}
}

To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.
Your Input Matters If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support. Thank you! |
