If that's the only button, you can also use "{SPACE}"
"~" will also work for Enter...

Browse All TopicsI have a vb.net process that references a dll of another program. One of the dll's methods is to transmit files. That method, when called, opens the other program in order to transmit. That program, however, has an initial window where an OK button needs to be clicked.
I need to programatically click that OK button, so that there is no user interraction. Once the button is clicked, the transmission processes files, this application closes, and the process returns backto my vb app.
Here's some code:
==========================
Dim var As App.DLL= Nothing
var = New App.DLL
Dim returnValue As Short
returnValue = var.TransmitAllFiles(False
==========================
The last line launches the other app in order to transmit.
I need code to simulate the ENTER key on that application.

The window that needs to be clicked has three buttons, OK, Cancel, Help.
This window seems to be the child form of an MDI based main form.
The OK button by default has focus on it, in case that matters.
This is what I have so far:
==========================
Dim var As App.DLL= Nothing
var = New App.DLL
Dim returnValue As Short
returnValue = var.TransmitAllFiles(False
' this should get the handle of the child form which has the OK button on it.
' Startup Information is the caption of the child form.
Dim WindowHandle As System.IntPtr = FindWindow(vbNullString, "Startup Information")
' this should get the handle of the OK button that needs to be clicked.
Dim ButtonHandle As System.IntPtr = FindWindowEx(WindowHandle,
' sending ENTER key.
SendKeys.Send("{ENTER}")
==========================
There are no errors generates, but the button does not get clicked.
