e.as exception

Trying to make an error web service that I can reference in other web services.  Having issues with the e. as exception part in the ErrorLog asmx.vb. as you can see from the commented code I have tried several ways but the only thing that loads into my DB is from the class insert statement. I am a newbee and I am over my head right now. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Not sure if my issues is on the SQL , or vb?
