Occasional Exception on Startup
Occasionally, 1 in 10 times maybe, I get this NullReferenceExeption when I start Debugging my program.

I can't figure it out.  You'd think if there was a problem in code, it would happen every time.

It looks like you are using a splash screen?

If so, are you setting it via the Project Properties?

Is there any code in the splash screen form?

Are you attempting to access the splash screen from your main form?

Any code relating to the splash form at all?...

It looks like you are using a splash screen?
Yes

If so, are you setting it via the Project Properties?
Refresh my memory....it's been so long since I created the Splashscreen.

Is there any code in the splash screen form?
Yes, see below.

Are you attempting to access the splash screen from your main form?
No.

Any code relating to the splash form at all?...
Don't think so.  The exception comes up before anything (including the Splashscreen) loads.

It doesn't look like anything in there would be causing problems...  =\

What does your app do?  Can you give us a bigger picture?

Does it use any third party controls or external references besides the standard .Net libraries?

05.09.2008 at 07:14AM PDT, ID: 21533018
I agree, I don't see any problems either.  As far as I know the program never fails as a published version...only for me occasionally when debugging.  I've written it off in the past as a possible VS 2005 bug...maybe that's what it is?

The app doesn't really load too much on startup.  It just shows the Splashscreen, then the Main Switchboard and check network credentials for security, but when it fails, it's way before that...before the splashscreen even.
