Need help with why the name property of a control would show as an empty string.

Zones: Microsoft Visual Basic.Net, Visual Studio .NET 2005, .NET Framework 3.x versions

I have a form with numerous checkboxes do to the fact the users need to be able to check and uncheck area to run reports on.

I try to run through the checkboxes on the check_changed event with the attached code. The problem I am having is that 2 of controls show up as control.Name= "" when I step through the code. I have set the names in the design window and I check the designer and the names show correctly in it. Yet when I run the app and step through it, the name property of some of the controls is "". If I check it in the Immediate window it is also "".

Any ideas what might cause this...?
