Connect to USB port

Dear Sir,
I want to send data to a controller which is connected to USBpport of PC by means of a USB cable.I have created a GUI using VB to enter data into a text box.Whenever i hit the send button in GUI,i want the data to be sent to the device connected to the USB port.I got to write a back end code for the button to communicate with USB using any of the languages like VB.net or VC++
