Connecting a Dataset to .dbf files

I'm trying build a dataset for myProject that consists of tables that are being used by an old system.  The purpose of this exercise is to convert the old system to a new platform.  Step one is to duplicate functionality of the old system, using the old data.  When I tried doing this using an Access databse of "Linked" tables, Visual Studio did not create the SQL statements to update and delete data.

I apologize in advance if this is an old topic, but I'm new to both Visual Studio, and Experts-Exchange, and thank you in advance for any assistance anyone can lend.Start Free Trial
