The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Populate Tabs

Asked by Arka3L in Microsoft Visual Basic.Net, .NET, Visual Basic Programming

Hello Experts,

I'm new to VB so I would appreciate not being overwhelmed with code and not having the descriptions for how it works.

Basically I'm designing a user interface and I have used the tab browsing option. However, I need some control on the process of how the tabs display and if its possible to populate them with a specific form after clicking a button and I will explain.

Just like a web browser, you are working on 1 tab, however theres another tab which is blank and ready to use. After one of my menu buttons has been pressed, I need that corresponding form to display on the first tab page. If I want to use the second panel, I simply click it and it becomes the active panel, I can start working with a different form if that is the case, however if the second panel is in use, I need another blank panel to appear waiting to be used.

So just like a web browser, I could have 5 panels being used at once, but a 6th blank tab is ready to be utilized.

So in a nut shell.

1. Is this possible, telling the program to open a new tab ready for the user if they need it, until say, 10 tabs are open.
2. If i have created a form, can i have that form display on the tabs page after clicking a button (same layout and functionality like Iframes in html)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
