Excel.WorkBooks.Add exception 0x80010105

I'm getting a COM exception "The server threw an exception. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010105 ( RPC_E_SERVERFAULT)" when doing a simple WorkBooks.Add operation

Specifics.... WinXP SP3, WinForm app, Office 2007 SP1

PS: I found some ancient posts on Google that didn't help much

Yeah, I saw that from an older (Office 2003) article on the web.... it doesn't seem to help any

It turned out to be a problem with a COM-based Excel Add-in... specifically a utility we have for digitally signing documents called ApproveIt

So what was the fix?  For those folks using ApproveIt?

Ah, sorry....

The "fix" was to just disable the COM-based Add-In for ApproveIt in Excel.   I contacted the Vendor, who was aware of the problem and stated that it probably wouldn't be fixed until the next release
