VB.NET SFTP Issue

I am having trouble with the attached code snippet.  It is allowing 1MB and under files to upload but when I hit a file a little over 2 the application is hanging, ideas?

Just a small change which may help

reqObj.Timeout = timespan.maxvalue

It is not accepting that.  I have tried:

reqObj.Timeout = timespan.maxvalue.seconds

reqObj.Timeout = timespan.maxvalue.minutes

It returns reqObj.Timeout = timespan.maxvalue cannot be converted to integer when I leave it as you have put it here.  I get an arithmetic error when I try the above variants Ideas?

Looking into the code further the hang is happening during upload.  If I skip the upload the buffers fill very quickly.  Not sure how to troubleshoot this....

You can write the file in small chunks. First write 1MB then write another 1MB. This would help to see if the problem actually is the uploading. Also, between uploading, you could call the Application.DoEvents() method which would prevent the UI from hanging.

No.  This actually fixed the issue.  Guess I answered my own question.  I needed to force the thread closed...
