ok, that makes sense, however I do have a page active that has controls on it (text boxes and buttons)
I have a web project created in VS 2008, I wanted to add a DateTime Picker to the page but did not see the 'Common Controls' tab in the toolbax, I selected Show All and it then showed up with a whole bunch of other tabs.
Trouble is...every control in the newly displayed tabs is disabled, I've tried re-setting teh toolbox but no affect?

you cannot use the DateTimePicker controls for Windows forms on a web forms. Instead, you have to use something like http://eworldui.net/Custom

The items in the toolbox are only enabled if a page that can contain controls is active.
