I'm writing this query in Visual Studio 2005, developing a VB.NET web app. How would i execute it first?
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am working in Visual Studio 2005 with a web app and I am having an issue with a SQL command. I am trying to retrieve an actual value in the CreatedByValue, but for some reason when I reference that value in the sqlEMail it is not being seen as specific value. Instead for sqlEmail, it is just using the entire SQL command as CreatedByValue instead of a value.
In the beginning of this code, I declared CreatedByValue this way.
Dim CreatedByValue as String = ""
I am looking for CreatedByValue to be a number.

I think the problem is that you have to execute the query before you can use the results. What database are you on?h
