Virus Removal - Popups
Good Day Experts!
I have a User here that has issues with a suspected virus. The main issue is pop-ups. I have tried MalwareBytes but that did not resolve the issues.
Is there any other downloadable freeware that kind of targets pop-ups? Or perhaps another removal tool besides MalwareBytes that you can suggest?
Thanks,
jimbo99999

What do the popups say? Are all the same message/ Show us a screenshot.
If this is IE use the Pop-up Blocker. (IE Tools|Pop-up Blocker)

Ok, finally getting to this "little" project. The pop-ups are originating when inside the Freight websites they use. The User is using GoogleChrome and I found a Chrome toolbar installed. The Uer was not sure when it was installed...I removed that.
Do you think that may be a source? I may turn him lose and see if they occur after removal before running hours and hours of scans.
Thanks,

It is hard to comment further without knowing what the popups say. I understand, however, the popups are occurring on only one website (or websites all involving Freight).

Thanks experts for responding. We have minimal amount of people here in IT so each person does it all...programming, networking, User setups etc. I appreciate all of your comments and suggestions as this type of repair is a learning curve for me.
Currently, from my previous post update, the User has not reported any issues.
I am going to leave this open for another day in the event we encounter something tomm.
Thanks,
