Using shared functions in a ASP.NET web application - is it safe?

I have a web application, which contains a functions class. For example 'Public Class Functions'

Most of the functions are not shared, but certain functions like our date format function and string manipulation functions i have declared as 'Public Shared Function xxx'. The reason for this is that when i use these functions, i dont always have an instance of the functions class available and i dont really want to have to create one just to access a basic function.

The question is, is there any possible way that 2 requests calling a shared functions at the same time could cause a problem?

The code i have included is a function we use to format dates.
Is there any way that any problems could arise by 2 processes hitting this function at the same time? Problems im thinking of would be information from one process conflicting with that of another one and returning the wrong result...Start Free Trial
