Are there any configuration requirements that I need to consume a Web Service done using ATL Server ? I keep getting the error "An unhandled exception of type 'System.Net.WebException' occured in system.web.service.dll Additional information: The request failed with the error message

I believe you found what was wrong with your config...probably missing FP server extensions...

And just a piece of advice - if you don't have really good reason to write your web service using ATL - try to avoid it.Creating Web services in C# or Managed C++ is far more easier.
