Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI copied a PST from my boss so I can maintain our user group and then I want to give him the PST back after I make the changes.
When I go to save the changes, this is what it says.
"The item cannot be saved because it was changed by another user or in another window. Do you want to make a copy in the default for the item?"
If I say yes and it makes a copy to my default PST. I can delete the entry in my default and then I can make changes to the other PST.
How can I make this second PST global so I can make changes to it and then send it back to my boss.

What do you mean when you said you copied his Outlook folder ? Did you copy the folder under personal folder in Outlook program or did you copy Outlook folder under C:\document and settings \ [your boss]\ local setting..??
I think it might be easier If you have is PST file and then import to your outlook - by create new Data file in your outlook and import your boss pst into the new data file, so it will not mix up with your personal folder. Then export to PST after you made changes, and import the new PST back into your boss Outlook.
