I have to bring a value of a CEdit (CString) to a unsigned int value. So I can later reformat it with %8X. The porblem is I have to query a CRC but give the CRC as unsigned int to a DLL. In my GUI I work with CString.

A pointer to a Cstring is not the solution. As I wrote I need to format it to unsigned int give it to the DLL. Later I will reformat it with %8X to a string to write it down in a log file. So I think sscanf is more the right way.
The solution is:
CString tBuffer; <--Filled
unsigned int CRC;
sscanf(tBuffer.GetBuffer(t
