I was more thinking about explicitly passing propertyName into the IList and having it return the First ResXProperty that matches.

Refactoring: Retrieving an item from an IList
I need to refactor GetPropertyByName(), but I don't know what method to use on the list:
public IList<ResXProperty> Properties { get; set; }
public ResXProperty GetPropertyByName(string propertyName)
{
foreach (ResXProperty property in Properties)
{
if (property.Name == propertyName)
return property;
}
return null;
}

you can overrride equals on the ResXProperty and call the contains method on the list but this is not going to make any performance, though the code will be 'different'.
