NaN.00 error message

with a javascript routine, I am getting the following error message in the values fields (displayed) via the web-page instead of a number.

NaN.00

this only happens when the number is being divided by a zero -- as this is an auto updating field, i.e. updates when a user enters a number -- the initial number is obviously zero until a user enters something.

as the user can enter numbers from a few other related value fields on the same form, I cannot seem to stop the initial calculation etc.

how can I stop this text coming up like this and just keep displaying 0 again ?  

I have tried if (value < 0) but this has no effect etc.

Try this
if isNaN(value)
{
No value
}

< 0 will not work coz null is not 0 or less or greater

isNaN is javascript which check either value is Not a Null
in above case it will come inside the block if value is null hence you may provide your own text to display instead of NaN.00

if isNaN(value)
{
//control.value="No value found" or "N/A"
}

isNaN() checks for Is Not a Number.. means either the give value is number or not
sometimes you will get a positive value after division and isNaN may give wrong result for that you should check condition
if(value>0)
