also, sometimes there might be better to use the column name. This
makes your code less prone to errors if you change the column order:

You simply need a loop calling the Read() method of the datareader. Something like:
SqlDataReader myReader = "some code to retrieve the reader";
string value = "";
while (myReader.Read())
{
value = myReader.GetString(0); // alter to suit the datatype of your column
}
