I wholeheartedly agree with the using the Quickstarts. I used them 8 years ago to learn .NET and I still am thankful they were there.

Of the several million questions I have, the 1st have to do with getting accustomed to the VS environment and really understanding the files & folder heirarchy involved in a project.
Then I could use some verrrry simple examples of connecting to a sql database, binding the dataobjects to controls, and then manipulating data. I've downloaded the employee-info-web-starter-
Can anyone recommend good resources or books tailored to my needs?
