programming PIC16F877A inputs

Asked by lisa_mc in C Programming Language

I have be given code written in C to program a PIC16F877A.  At the minute I only have 5 spare pins but I need 12 inputs.

My inputs are LED's and only one LED can be on at a time.

As I don't have enough pins I was thinking of using another chip running the 12 inputs into this and running that output into the current chip - would this be the best solution anyone have any ideas?Start Free Trial
