Hello,
I've just started programming in C++ on Linux. I would now like to start making programs that run under KDE / Gnome.

My question is what libraries do I need to use and how?

Can somebody please point me in the direction of a tutorial or, failing that, the source code of a simple program that uses the major functions or classes of KDE / Gnome.
