I'm trying to write a C++ library for array and matrix manipulation, like copying arrays and matrices, or initializing them, to be called from a VB6 application. VB6 is too slow for handling large arrays or matrices of type Double.
I've already set up a C++ DLL and I'm able to call some simple functions that don't use arrays. But when I try to pass an array and assign a value to an element in the C++ code, the application crashes. When I don't assign any value, VB gives me an error: "Bad DLL calling convention".
The C++ header is:
#define DllExport __declspec( dllexport )
int DllExport __cdecl array_fillval(double *arr[], double val);
The VB6 import line is:
Private Declare Function array_fillval Lib "TestLib" (arr() As Double, val As Double) As Long
The function call is:
Dim TempArr(0 To 1800) As Double
array_fillval TempArr, 1.14763
