How to post a file to a web site from C++?

Hi all,

I have a file which is only made up of text lines that I need to post to a web site, and then have a PHP script parse and post various elements in a database.

I'm a bit lost as to how to actually post the file and get to the data in a PHP script. Since the data passed to the PHP script is important (but doesn't need to be secured in any way), I'm afraid I would only end up writing a poor hack without some suggestions from you guys. The c++ code must be in pure C++ (no .NET or C#, but Windows DLL accepted), it should run on Windows 98 and above on the client side. On the server side I have the latest 4.x version of PHP.

To recap: How to I post the file from C++, and how do I get to the data from the PHP script?
