Using the windows index service

Hi,

Can anyone give me any info on how to use the windows index service in C++, my aim is to monitor a directory for any changes and basically create a real time catalog of all files in a directory and sub directories, adding any newly created files, renamed file e.t.c to the catalog in real time. I will probably be using XML for the file index.
